In the end it comes down to balancing the right wing of the court. Hopefully, she will pull the court closer to the center.

I think your "conservatives" just spent the last eight years overseeing the largest expansion of the federal government since FDR. Jefferson started rolling in his grave when W first started hallucinating about a Dept of Homeland Security.

I don't think he jumped - he was pushed off a sinking ship by the pirates who hijacked it. They did him a favor.

McCain didn't get his game changer and he doesn't seem to have any "character" charge beyond Ayers and Wright so the advantage is to Obama.

Hey - she really is qualified to be VP! She blew off the legislature in Alaska just as effectively as Cheney blew off Congress in the Plame affair. So much for that "change" nonsense.

Great choice. This blunts McCain's "lack of foreign policy" tactic. It also gives Obama someone who knows how DC works - he needs that.
